The Caribbean has never been known
to be a particularly gay-friendly region. However, the island of Curacao is an exception, and
the tourism board is actively outreaching to the gay and lesbian community.
The island has several exceptional gay friendly hotels and attractions, and
the Curacao Tourist Board encourages gay and lesbian travelers to visit the
island and see why it is the most gay-friendly island in the Caribbean. "It is
important that we make it known to the gay & lesbian community that
they are welcome and that our hotels and attractions have always seen them
as one that would appreciate the Curacao experience."

Nightclub Closes, Kylie Minogue A No-Show
G-A-Y, the landmark gay nightclub that has over the years played host
to performances from Kylie Minogue, Madonna,
Christina Aguilera, the Spice Girls, Girls
Aloud, Kelly Rowland and Suga Babes closed
its doors for good over the weekend. Despite protests from famous
musicians and petitions signed by tens of thousands of people, the
building will be torn down to make way for a new Crossrail
