On December 24, 2009, the Florida Department of Financial Services issued an advisory to Travel Agents doing business in the State of Florida.  The purpose of this bulletin was to notify all persons who sell or solicit travel insurance that they must be properly licensed, appointed and are required to make sure the underwriting company is authorized.
